Heat Exchanger Tube Materials

  • Heat exchanger tubes are used mainly for heat transfer application. We manufacture seamless heat exchanger tubes to to manufacturers of pressure vessels, cryogenic pressure vessels, high pressure equipments, tube sheets of heat exchangers, boilers, air pre heater, finned tubes, air cooler tubes, etc. Heat exchangers find wide usage in industries like Refineries, Power Plants, Steel Plants, Chemical Factories, Fertilizer Plants, Ship Building, etc.
  • Heat exchanger tubes can be manufactured in straight Lengths or U Bent as per the customer requirements. Our tubes are manufactured by the cold drawn process (Drawn on Mandrel) to provide the closest dimensional tolerance and smooth outside and inside finish. Further to achieve the desired Mechanical Properties the tubes are heat treated (Normalized, Stress Relieved, Annealed, Tempered, etc) as per ASTM/ASME specifications. Straightening is done on multiple roll straightening machines to achieve accuracy up 1mm: 1000mm straightness.
  • The most common materials for manufacturing heat exchanger tubes include 304 stainless steel, 316L stainless steel, SA179 carbon steel, Alloy 625, Alloy 825, Alloy 400 and Alloy C276. In addition to our tubing, customers also prefer to order the related pipe fittings from us.
  • While stainless steel is the preferred choice for many engineers in piping installations, there is increasing usage of high nickel containing special alloys in LNG, natural gas and petrochemical plants for specialized applications. We offer Nickel 200 tubing, Nickel 201 Tubing, Alloy 400 Tubes,  Alloy 825 tubes and Alloy 625 tubes. Generally our tubes are stocked in 6 meter random lengths, but for ease of transport,  we can also cut the tubes in half. A heat exchanger tube can be supplied in any length.
