Metline is a professional manufacturer and exporter of blind flanges with in-house precision machining facilities. We produce blind flanges as per ANSI B16.5, DIN Standard and EN1092-1 in size range of 1/2” to 24” NPS. We can also produce and supply blind flanges for high pressure and high temperature applications. We produce blind flanges in carbon steel, stainless steel, high nickel alloys, duplex/super duplex, copper nickel, titanium and special alloys.

Our manufacturing process for blind flanges includes an adequate heat treatment and the examination of chemical and mechanical properties. We have CNC machines as well as conventional lathe machines for machining and processing various types of blind flanges.

Blind flanges are generally made from forged bar stock. The raw materials used for manufacturing blind flanges include raw round bar of diameter size 20~400mm OD or billets for large size flanges.

What is a Blind Flange: A blind flange looks like a plate with bolts holes around. There is no inner hole on the blind flange comparing to other type flanges, so the blind flange is used to close the end of a vessel or piping system. Blind flange also be used for pressure testing for prevent the liquid or air flow.
Connection to Blind Flanges: The blind flange is used together with another flange which could be weld neck flange, slip on flange, thread flange or other type flanges. The other flange should be joint with the pipe or vessel, and bolt connection with the blind flange. The function of a blind flange is like a pipe cap, but it could be assembly easily by the bolts. The blind flange is not connected with any pipe or vessel.
Sealing Face of Blind Flanges: The blind flange could be supplied with flat face (FF), raised face(RF) or ring joint face(RTJ). The RTJ type face blind flange is used for high pressure application, the matched flange also should be RTJ face.
